About Parliamentary Secretariat
The Parliamentary Secretariat is headed by a Secretary-General who functions under the guidance of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker. The Secretariat undertakes the responsibility of preparing parliamentary procedures and practices, makes arrangements for recording, transcribing and dissemination of formal proceedings of the Parliament in print and webbased media. It also has a library which is used for research and reference. The Secretariat has three sections: Administrative; Editorial, Translation & Publication; and Website & Media.
