Mr. Migyur Dorjee was born in Thoding in Ngari Province of Tibet. With the kind help and blessing of His Holiness the great 14th Dalai Lama led Central Tibetan Administration and with the facilities provided by the Indian government, he completed his school education and then his graduation in 1975. He joined the Central Tibetan Administration in 1976 and served for 37 years at various posts including Secretary of the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Representative at Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, New Delhi in 1991, Political Secretary of Kashag in 1995, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the U.K in 1997, and later Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in South Africa and in European Union, and Kadrung (Cabinet Secretary) of 12th and 13th Kashag led by Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche.

He was earlier elected to the 16th and 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile. He has always stood firm against the disgraceful inconvenience caused to His Holiness the great 14th Dalai Lama’s fame and his noble deeds as per the aspiration of the Tibetan public and the oath taken by him as an elected Member of Parliament. He has always respected and supported general public’s aspiration and campaign of unity and justice for Tibet. Mr. Dorjee is currently a member of the 18thTibetan Parliament-in-Exile from Utsang province.
