Dharamshala: On 20 August 2026, Tibetan Parliamentarians Lopon Thubten Gyaltsen and Sonam Norbu Ratsa commenced an official visit to the sacred site of Bodh Gaya, in Bihar.

In the morning, the two parliamentarians attended the prayer service held for the seventh-week mourning period (49th day) of patriot Rangzen Lobga. In the afternoon, they visited His Holiness the Dalai Lama Center for Tibetan and Ancient Indian Wisdom. Later in the evening, they addressed residents and visiting pilgrims in Bodh Gaya and held an interactive Q&A session.
