Dharamshala: As part of the program of the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Parliamentarians Tenzin Choezin and Ngawang Lodoe Drawu continued their official visit to Tibetan communities in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

On 6 September, the fourth day of the Tibetan Parliamentary official tour in the Dehradun Tibetan Settlement, the parliamentarians visited Dhondupling Tibetan Settlement, also known as Clementown, where they were warmly received by the community leaders and members of the general public.

The parliamentarians addressed the gathering, with particular emphasis on the recently imposed Chinese Communist Party’s “Ethnic Unity and Progress Law” and its repressive implications for Tibetans, particularly its intent to undermine and erase Tibetan identity, language, and cultural heritage. The program was followed by visits to Tashi Khyil Monastery, Ga Lhakhang Monastery, and Mindrolling Monastery to seek blessings.

Following the program, Parliamentarians Tenzin Choezin and Ngawang Lodoe Drawu travelled to Tsering Dhonden Tibetan Settlement, where they held discussions on similar issues and engaged with the local community through a question-and-answer session.
