Mr. Serta Tsultrim was born on 8th June 1978 in Serta Kham, Tibet. He joined a local primary school at the age of 6 and later learned grammar, poetry, astrology, deity painting, and Buddhist scriptures from Ragtam Jampaling and Serta Lharung Choegar. After coming into exile in 1998, he continued his studies at Tibetan Transit School and later worked at the Department of Religion and Culture, CTA, and the Cultural and Literary Research Centre of Norbulingka as an editor and researcher.

 

He is the founder and Executive Director of Khawa Karpo Tibet Culture Centre, a non-profit organization based in Dharamshala. He is also the Tibetan Editor-in-Chief at Bod-Kyi-Bangchen (The Tibet Express). He is a writer and has published several articles, poetry, research works, and books on politics, society, and culture. He has been editing and printing a bimonthly magazine called ‘Ngagyur Rigney’, which has been published more than 50 times since its inception in 2012. He was previously elected to the 14th, 15th, and 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile. He has been a member of the Standing Committee and other parliamentary committees. He has taken active participation in the official settlement visitation programs and Tibet outreach programs. Mr. Tsultrim is a member of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from Dhotoe province.
