Mr. Kunchok Rinchen was born in Driru, Sumpa Nagshok, Tibet. In 2006, he arrived in India from Tibet. He graduated from the 10^th grade at TCV Suja School in 2013, and completed 12^th grade in the Arts stream from the same school in 2015. In 2015, he enrolled at the Karnataka State Law University, graduating with a BA LLB degree in 2021 and obtained his Tibetan Exile Legal Practitioner’s license in 2018.

During his time at TCV Suja, he served as the President of the Human Rights Club. While in the 10^th grade, he took charge of the Solidarity with Tibet campaign. In 2012, he served as the leader of a peaceful march involving over a hundred students from TCV Suja to Dharamshala. While serving as the President of the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress (RTYC) Bengaluru, he facilitated the integration of the Bengaluru regional chapter into the Central Tibetan Youth Congress.

Furthermore, he has held numerous other responsibilities including President of the Tibetan Legal Association in Bengaluru, Executive Member of the International Law Students Association in Bengaluru, Chief Coordinator for the National Tibetan Youth Cultural and Sports Meet and for the 14^th Tibetan College Students’ Conference, Lead Researcher for four years for the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD) publication titled “Crimes Against Humanity in Driru.”

Presently, he is a Member of the 18^th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from Dotoe province.
