Mr. Lhamo Kyab was born in Lutsang, Ba-Mangra, located south of Tso Nyonpo (Kokonor). In 2002, at the age of five, he arrived in India from Tibet. He graduated secondary school (Class 10) from TCV Suja and subsequently finished his higher secondary school (Class 12) from TCV Bylakuppe. From 2020 to 2021, he served as a Student Leader (Prefect) at the Bengaluru Tibetan Youth Hostel and was recognized among the top outstanding students of the year.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science from Jain University in Bengaluru, South India, and obtained a Master’s degree in the same field (Forensic Science) from Christ University, Bengaluru.

He worked as a lecturer at the Infinity College of Education in Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala, South India, and is currently serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Criminology and Forensic Science at MVJ College of Science and Commerce in Bengaluru. He also serves as a member of the advisory board for Shiv Forensic group in India.

While working as an assistant professor, has also served as a member of the Local Election Commission during the Tibetan general elections for Sikyong and Members of Parliament, served as a Central Executive Committee member of the Global Tibetan People’s Movement for Middle Way Approach for three years. In 2023, he pioneered and established the regional chapter of the movement in Bengaluru. He was re-elected to the Executive Committee of the Middle Way Approach movement in 2025.

He actively utilizes opportunities to promote the Tibetan cause across various Indian colleges to raise awareness among Indian youth and uses YouTube to broadcast analytical discussions covering social history, democratic rights, and the core Tibetan struggle, aiming to foster greater political and historical awareness among younger Tibetans.

He is currently serving as a Member of the 18^th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from Domey province and is the youngest member of the House.
