Mr. Ngawang Lodoe Drawu was born in the Kumrao Tibetan Settlement to father, Tehor Shiwatsang Ugyen Namgyal, and mother, Gapa Drawo Tsetan. After progressing through the local settlement schools, he graduated with an Acharya (Master’s) degree from the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (CIHTS) in Varanasi in the year 2012. During his time at the university, he was elected as a member of the Student Welfare Committee and took on that responsibility.

In his settlement, he was elected by the public to serve as the President for the 7^th, 8^th, and 9^th terms of the Regional Chushi Gangdrug, as well as the President for the 5^th, 6^th, and 7^th terms of the Local Tibetan Assembly.

Furthermore, with high support from the people of Dokham, he took on the responsibilities of serving as a Central Executive Member for the 21^st term, and as the Vice President for the 22^nd term, of the Central Dokham Chushi Gangdrug.

In the year 2017, the Yangchen Educational and Cultural Welfare Society was registered, and the Tibetan Himalayan grassroots school was newly established and legally registered under Indian law. Under his responsibility as the Director of the school, free education is being provided to children from Tibet and the Himalayan regions.

Currently, he is compiling the biography of the late Drawo Pon Rinchen Tsering. Under his guidance for many years, he had the best opportunity to gain extensive experience in both religious and political affairs. Based on his instructions, and carrying forward the legacy from father to son, he hold a firm determination to fulfill the visions of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and to serve the Tibetan cause to the best of his ability. In the year 2026, he was elected as a member of the 18^thTibetan Parliament-in-Exile from Dotoe province.
