Mr. Ngodup Dorjee was commissioned into the Central Tibetan Administrative service in 1982, since then he has served in various capacities such as Manager of the Tibetan Handicraft Centre and Secretary of the Tibetan Cooperative Society, Leh-Ladakh; Manager of the Tibetan Women Handicraft Centre, Rajpur; Tibetan Welfare Officer, Gangtok; Tibetan Settlement Officer, Mundgod; Chief Representative Officer, Bangalore; Additional Secretary, Department of Home and finally ascending to the post of Home Secretary in the Department of Home, CTA. Mr. Dorjee has also served as the Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Brussels and Switzerland.
During over 40 years of his service, Mr. Ngodup Dorjee has been recognized for his service and administrative acumen with a special promotion, and a CTA distinct staff award. After his retirement in 2019, he was elected to the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from Utsang province with high majority. He is currently a member of the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from the Utsang province.
