Mr. Tsewang Tashi Bhara was born in Dolanji, Himachal Pradesh. He attended Central School for Tibetans in Dolanji and Central School for Tibetans in Paonta Sahib. In 2007, he received instructions and accumulations for the Nine Hundred Thousand Preliminary Practices (A-Khrid Sngon-‘Gro ‘Bum Dgu) of Yungdrung Bon, as well as teachings on the transference of consciousness (‘Pho Khrid) from the Khenpo and Lopon of Kyabje Menri Monastery. Furthermore, studied the history and chronology of the Yungdrung Bon tradition under the guidance of learned Bon Geshes. In 2012, he completed studies in the first batch of the Shang-Bod Sorig Bumshi Therapy.

He worked as a treasurer of the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress from 2003–2004. Upon turning 25, was elected as a member of the Dolanji Bon Settlement Local Tibetan Assembly and served as its Treasurer from 2006-2009, and its member from 2009-2012. In 2012, he has served as the Chair of the Local Tibetan Assembly. From 2006-2009, he served as the President of the Local Tibetan Freedom Movement, accountant of the BRDL, Chair of the LTA, the member of the Governing Council of Tibetan Bonpo Foundation, and Chair of the regional Dokham Chushi Gangdrug.

In 2016, he was elected as a member of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile representing the Bon tradition. Currently continues to serve as a Board Member of the Central Tibetan Bon Association and as the Accountant for the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress. Currently, he is a member of the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from the Bon religion.
