Ven. Geshe Lharampa Atuk Tseten joined Lithang monastery when he was young. In 1991, he fled into exile and joined the Drepung Gomang Monastery in India. He was honored with the highest-ranking degrees for completing the five major fundamental texts of Buddhism. In 2015, he was honored with Geshe Lharampa’s degree (Ph.D. in Buddhist Philosophy).

He worked as the President of All Gelug Executive Committee for Long Life Offering to His Holiness in 2014. He has worked as the secretary of Mundgod Chushi Gangdrug and as a representative of Drepung Gomang Monastery, advisor to Dokham Lithang association’s central executive committee, and chair of the Dhokham Chushi Gangdrug’s election committee. With support from monks and nuns of Gelug school, he was previously elected to the 15^th, 16^th, and 17^thTibetan Parliament-in-Exile and was chair of the joint committee of TPiE and Kashag on standardizing Tibetan national symbols.

Following the advice of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Geshe Tseten has always worked for the cause of Tibet to the best of his capacity. Currently, he is one of the members of the 18^th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from the Gelug School of Tibetan Buddhism and a member of the Standing Committee.
