Mr. Migyur Dorjee was born on 1st January 1953 at Thoding in Ngari Province of Tibet. With the kind help and blessing of His Holiness the great 14th Dalai Lama and the Central Tibetan Administration and with the facilities provided by the Indian government, he completed his school education and then his graduation in 1975. He joined the Central Tibetan Administration in 1976 and served for 37 years at various posts including Chief Representative, Ladakh, Secretary of the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and later Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, New Delhi in 1991, Political Secretary of Kashag in 1995, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the U.K in 1997, Deputy Envoy in Brussels for EU, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in South Africa, and Kadrung (Cabinet Secretary) of 12th and 13th Kashag.
He was earlier elected to the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile. He has always stood firm against the disgraceful inconvenience caused to His Holiness the great 14th Dalai Lama’s fame and His noble deeds as per the aspiration of the Tibetan public and the oath taken by him as an MP. He has utilized his decades of experience at the CTA in providing his service at the Parliament. Mr. Dorjee is currently a member of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from Utsang province.
