Mr. Tenzin Jigdal was born on 26th February 1982 and completed his school education from Lower and Upper Tibetan Children Village in Dharamsala. He did his graduation from Sussex Coast College, U.K, and a Master’s in Computer Science from Madras University. He has also studied computer science at London Metropolitan University and Nonviolent Movement at Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University of International Center on Nonviolent Conflict.

Mr. Jigdal has received human rights studies from the International Service for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland, and studies of social movement from the ULEX Project in Spain. He has served as the President of Students for Free Tibet (SFT) U.K for three years and as a Project Officer at SFT India for three years. He has also served as an advisor of Tibet Action Institute for 2 years. For the past 8 years, he has been working as an international coordinator at the International Tibet Network. Mr. Jigdal is a member of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from Dhotoe province.
