MR THONDUP TSERING was born on 18th December 1959. After graduating from Panjab University, Chandigarh in 1983, he has worked as a career counselor at the Tibetan Children’s Village for over 13 years. He has been working at the University of Massachusetts as the Student Success Coordinator for 25 years. He is also a member of the board of directors of many other organizations.
In the past 40 years, Mr. Thondup has served in varied fields including education institutes, exiled Tibetan communities, and political organizations. He has reached out to many US House of Representatives and Senators including Rep. Jim McGovern from Massachusetts, which has positively impacted in garnering more support for Tibet’s issue and passing Tibet-related resolutions in the House. Mr. Tsering is a member of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile from North America.
