DHARAMSHALA: Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok yesterday inaugurated the Website launch of National Democratic Party of Tibet (NDPT) www.ndp4tibet.com at Norbu House, Mcloed Ganj.

Also present at the inauguration were Special Guest Mr. Wilfried Pfeffer, a staunch supporter of Tibet from Germany and friend of the organisation, Mr. Lobsang Phuntsok, Chief-advisor of NDPT and representatives of various NGOs.

Following a minute’s silence for the self-immolations in Tibet, Mr. Tseten Norbu, President of NDPT narrated a brief introduction of the event and subsequently chief guest Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok offered mementoes to Mr. Wilfried and Mr. Lobsang Phuntsok.

Speaking at the inauguration, Deputy Speaker thanked the organisation for the invitation and congratulated the launch on behalf of the Tibetan Parliament.

“Since the purpose of Websites is to display the work of the organisations, it is very essential to make it effective by giving clear content of the website and user-friendly. It is also important to evoke passion and interest to the Tibetan viewers,” he emphasised.

He also thanked Mr Wilfried for his continued support towards the Tibet issue.

Mr. Karma Yangdup, Vice-President of the organisation delivered the thank you speech at the end of the event.
