Dharamsala: Deputy Speaker of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Ven. Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok condoles the surviving family members of late Sh. Ananth Kumar, Union Minister and a senior BJP leader, over his demise earlier this morning at a hospital in Bengaluru.
Commending the late Indian politician’s immense contribution towards the Indian politics and parliament over the years and expressing gratitude towards his staunch support for the cause of Tibet, Deputy Speaker stated that, it is ‘not only an irreparable loss for your family and the government of India but also for Tibet cause.’

Ananth Kumar, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, who held charge of two ministries in the Narendra Modi government — Chemicals and Fertilizers since May 2014 and Parliamentary Affairs since July 2016, passed away earlier this morning at Bengaluru. The six-time parliamentarian from Bengaluru, had been ailing for a while now. He was 59 years old.
