Eighth Day of the 8th Session of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile

Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay, incumbent Minister (Kalon) of DIIR providing answers and clarifications to the questions raised by the Parliamentarians

Dharamsala: Chaired by Speaker Pema Jungney, the eighth day of the ongoing general session of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile begin with legislative procedure-Third reading and adoption.

Legislative amendments regarding medical facilities on

  1. Article 7 clause (iv) subclause (E) (F) of ‘The Rules and regulation for the salaries, perquisites, pensions and other entitlements of the Chief Justice Commissioner and the other two Justice Commissioners of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission’
  2.  Article 7 clause (iv) subclause (E) (F) of ‘Rules and regulation for the salaries, allowances and other entitlements of the Sikyong and the Ministers (Kalon)
  3. Article 5 clause (iv) subclause (E) (F) of ‘Rules and regulation for honorarium, daily allowances and other entitlement for the members of the Tibetan Parliament’
  4. Article 7 clause (iv) subclause (E) (F) of ‘Rules and regulation for the salaries, perquisites, pensions and other entitlements of the Chief Election Commissioner’
  5. Article 7 Clause (iv) subclause (E) (F) of ‘Rules and regulation for the salaries, perquisites, pensions and other entitlements of the Public Service Commissioner’
  6. Article 7 Clause (iv) subclause (E) (F) of ‘Rules and regulation for the salaries, perquisites, pensions and other entitlements of the Auditor General’ were passed unanimously and duly adopted in the house.

Thereafter, the discussion on the reports of Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) continued following the list of business, Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay, incumbent Minister (Kalon) of Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) provided requisite answers and clarifications to the questions raised by Parliamentarians.

Finally, the Secretary General Lakhang Tsering Topgyal of Parliamentary Secretariat read ‘leave of absence’ and the coming week’s list of business.

The session adjourned at 3:00 pm till 9:30 am of the coming Monday.
