Dharamshala, 20 November 2025: As part of the Year of Compassion celebrations marking the 90th birth anniversary of His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama, the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile organized an exhibition titled “Democracy: A Gift of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to the Tibetan People” at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab on 20 Nov 2025.

The exhibition, held at the University’s Sunken Garden, was inaugurated by Dr. Nitin Bhardwa, Professor and Deputy Dean of LPU. During the event, Tenzin Sherap from the Tibetan Parliamentary Secretariat provided an overview of the exhibit and presented souvenirs to the guests in attendance.

The event, which ran from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, was organized with the support of the University’s Division of Student Welfare’s SML (Society for Management Learning), along with Tibetan students enrolled at LPU. Student volunteers who assisted in organizing the exhibition were presented with mementos of appreciation by Tenzin Sherap.

The exhibition successfully introduced more than one hundred students to the remarkable contributions of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the evolution of Tibetan democracy in exile. The organizing team from the Tibetan Parliamentary Secretariat included staff members Tenzin Sherap, Choedak, Rinchen, and Lobsang Tsomo.
