DHARAMSHALA: Family members of Tibet supporter Mr. M L Sondi, a staunch supporter and friend of Tibetan people, today visited Tibetan Parliament at 12:30 pm. The family was welcomed by the Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel and Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok of the Tibetan parliament at the parliamentary secretariat.

The Speaker and the Deputy Speaker along with the visiting guests had a brief discussion about the Central Tibetan Administration and the Tibet’s struggle followed by a guided tour to the secretariat. The Speaker offered them Tibetan traditional scarves and mementos. The Deputy Speaker urged the members for a continued support.

Late Mr. Sondi was an expert on international and India’s policies. He was a great friend of the Tibetan people and held immense respect for the Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Presently, Mrs. Sondi is the director of M L Sondi Institute for Asia Pacific Affairs, an institute founded by the deceased.
