
Dharamshala: As per program of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Parliamentarians Choedak Gyatso and Gonpo Dhundup, continued their visitation program in Ladakh. As part of this visit, on 1 July 2026, the two parliamentarians called on the District Magistrate of the Jangthang region, Shri Nitish Rajora (DC Nitish Rajora, IAS).
Additionally, the two parliamentarians visited the local branch school of the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV), and delivered a speech to the public at the Nyoma settlement and conducted a Q&A session.
At 9:30 AM on 2 July, following their visits to Nyoma Monastery and Mahe Monastery, they departed for Leh, Ladakh. Upon arrival, they participated in a candlelight vigil organized in honor of the patriotic hero Rangtsen Lobga who self-immolated infront of the UN headquarters in New York to protest against China’s intensifying control over Tibet and addressed the gathered public.
