
Dharamshala: Following the assumption of their official duties, the members of the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile have scheduled a series of inaugural official visits to Tibetan communities. In accordance with this program, Parliamentarians Choedak Gyatso and Gonpo Dhundup commenced their official visitation to the Srinagar on 23 June, 2026.
The two parliamentarians arrived in Srinagar at 6:00 PM on the evening of 22 June, where they were warmly received by Tashi Dhundup, the Chief Representative Officer of Ladakh (and Sonamling Settlement), along with staff member Tenzin Tashi.
On June 23, the delegation visited the local Tibetan Public School in Srinagar. During the visit, they interacted with the students, teachers, and staff members to gain a comprehensive understanding of the school’s current situation and the challenges it faces.
