Dharamshala: As part of the official program of the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Parliamentarians Karma Gelek and Dr. Rigzin Lhundup continued their official visit to Dharamshala and surrounding areas under the jurisdiction of the Tibetan Settlement Office (TSO), Dharamshala.

On the morning of 25 June 2026, the parliamentarians visited the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) School in Gopalpur. During their visit, they toured the campus, including the senior and junior classrooms, as well as the library.

The visit was followed by a general assembly attended by the school’s staff and students. Both parliamentarians delivered addresses highlighting the lifelong achievements and noble contributions of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, as well as the critical and urgent situation inside Tibet. The session concluded with an interactive discussion during which the parliamentarians responded to questions, addressed appeals, and provided clarifications to students and staff.

In the afternoon, the parliamentarians met with residents of the Samdupling Tibetan Settlement in Chamunda. They enquired about the welfare of the community, listened to their concerns and grievances, and engaged in discussions aimed at addressing their questions and resolving their difficulties.

The parliamentarians also visited Gaden Choeling Nunnery in Dharamshala, where they offered prayers and toured the nunnery premises. They subsequently paid a visit to the Dharamshala Local Tibetan Settlement Office.

In the evening, a public gathering was held at Phuntsok Khangsar Hall in Dharamshala. Both parliamentarians delivered brief addresses, followed by an interactive session during which they heard public feedback, addressed appeals, and responded to questions from members of the community. The session concluded at 6:00 p.m.
