Parliamentarians Ngodup Dorjee and Kunchok Rinchen Conclude Official Visit to Doeguling Tibetan Settlement in Mundgod

Dharamshala: As part of the official program of the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, parliamentarians Ngodup Dorjee and Kunchok Rinchen concluded their official visit to the Doeguling Tibetan Settlement in Mundgod, Southern India.

On 10 August, the parliamentarians travelled to Karwar, where they met with key government officials, including Deputy Commissioner Smt. Lakshmi Priya, IAS; Superintendent of Police Shri Deepan M.N., IPS; and Dr. Dileesh Sasi, IAS, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Zilla Panchayat for the Uttara Kannada District (Karwar).

During the meetings, the parliamentarians expressed their sincere gratitude to the officials for their continued support and assistance to the Doeguling Tibetan Settlement. They also requested that the officials continue extending their support and cooperation to the Tibetan community in the future.

On behalf of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, the parliamentarians presented souvenirs from the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, along with a book authored by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, which were warmly received by the officials.

Following the meetings, the parliamentarians returned to the Settlement Office, where they held a final debriefing with Settlement Officer Rinchen Wangmo and the Chairperson of the Local Tibetan Assembly.

That evening, representatives of 26 local organizations hosted a farewell dinner in honor of the visiting parliamentarians.

With the completion of all scheduled official programs, the parliamentarians concluded their assessment visit to the Doeguling Tibetan Settlement in Mundgod
