
Dharamshala: On 21 August 2026, Parliamentarians Tenpa Yarphel and Gyaltsen Choekye Gagya undertook an official visit to areas under the jurisdiction of the Kalimpong Tibetan Settlement Office in West Bengal, including Algarah, Pedong, Lava, Bokar Shedra Woebar Chime Ling, Oodlabari, and Evam Namchak Nunnery.
At 8:00 a.m., the Parliamentarians, accompanied by the accountant of the Kalimpong Tibetan Settlement Office, visited the Gyuto Monastery branch in Algarah, where they offered prayers. They subsequently met with members of the Tibetan community in Algarah and Pedong, where they addressed the public.
They also visited Ogyen Mindrol Samten Ling Monastery, Lava Kagyu Thekchen Ling Monastery, Bokar Shedra, and Evam Namchak Nunnery, where they offered prayers and provided guidance during gatherings with members of the Tibetan community.
