DHARAMSHALA: Shri. Addit Charam Dutt, Chief Coordinator of Rashtraiya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS), visited the Tibetan Parliamentary Secretariat on 4 October and met Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok, the Deputy Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile.
The duo discussed about the urgent need for a resolution of the Tibet issue and the continued effort put forward by the government of India in resolving it.
Mr. Dutt has previously visited Tibetan settlements in Kalimpong, Darjeeling and Gangtok as part of his research on livelihood of Tibetans in India. He has also authored a book on issues related to China’s actions in Tibet.
Mr. Hemant, a researcher at British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) made a brief visit to the secretariat on 4 October around 2:00 pm. He met with the Deputy Speaker and had a brief discussion on the current political status of Tibet. The Deputy Speaker offered him a few books related to Tibet and China to help him expand his understanding of the Tibet issue.
