Dharamshala, 22 December 2025: Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, is scheduled to attend a ceremony marking the enthronement and the offering of a long-life prayer to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the supreme leader of the Tibetan people, in accordance with the tradition of the successive Dalai Lamas.

The ceremony is being organized by the Drepung Lachi Monastic Centre for Advanced Learning and will take place on 24 December 2025 at the Mundgod Tibetan Settlement in Karnataka, South India.

The Speaker will depart from Delhi for Mundgod via Hubli on 23 December, attend the event on 24 December, and return to Dharamshala on 25 December.
