
Dharamshala: On 18th October 2024, at Ralong Densa Palchen Chosling, Ravangla, Sikkim, the Kyabgon Gyatsab Goshir Rinpoche, was offered a long-life prayer ceremony (Tenshug) by the association of former students of the Rumtek monastery.
The long-life prayer ceremony was attended by various dignitaries including
Kyabje Zurmang Gharwang Rinpoche, Kyabje Bokar Rinpoche, Khen Lodoe Dhonyoe Rinpoche, royal parents of Her Majesty Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan, along with other tulkus and khenpos.
Also present were Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Sikyong Penpa Tsering, and several members of the Standing Committee and MPs of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile including Juchen Kunchok Chodon, Tenpa Yarphel, Geshe Lharampa Atuk Tsetan, Lopon Thupten Gyaltsen, Dhondup Tashi, Geshe Monlam Tharchin, Kunga Sotop, Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar, and others. The ceremony was also attended by the representative of the Gaden Phodrang Secretary Lobsang Jinpa, Secretary of the Department of Religion and Culture Dudul Dorjee, representatives from various Kagyu monasteries, abbots and lamas from foreign countries, and over a hundred lay and monastic devotees.
After the long-life prayer ceremony, the Kyabgon Gyatsab Goshir Rinpoche, granted a private audience to the Speaker and the visiting members of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile in his chamber.
