Dharamsala : Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile offered financial donations for relief efforts to the two Tibetan settlements hit with natural calamities earlier this year from the Chairman’s (Speaker’s) Relief Fund.
Earlier this year on Sept 22 to 24, Tibetan settlements under the jurisdiction of Palrabling Tibetan Welfare Office, Kullu-Manali, Himachal Pradesh, viz., Dobhi, 15 Mile and Kullu, were hit severely by the flash flood caused by an incessant rainfall and on Oct 10, Cyclone Titli made landfall in Odisha, wreaking havoc in Phuntsokling Tibetan settlement, Gajapati, Odisha.
To offer solidarity and speedy recovery from the devastation of lives and property, as well as the hardship caused by these tragic calamities to the people in these aforementioned Tibetan settlements, Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile has donated INR 50,000/- to each of them from the Chairman’s (Speaker’s) Relief Fund.
