
Dharamshala, 24 June 2026: Following the assumption of their official duties, the members of the 18th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile have scheduled a series of inaugural official visits to Tibetan communities. In accordance with this program, Parliamentarians Choedak Gyatso and Gonpo Dhundup continued their official visit with engagements in Sonamling Tibetan settlement in Ladakh.
On the 24 June, they traveled via Kargil and arrived in Leh. They received a grand welcome from the heads of the three local democratic pillars of the Sonamling Tibetan settlement, as well as prominent figures from 21 governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Following this, a meeting was held at the Ladakh community hall with over thirty key dignitaries. During the meeting, which lasted for over an hour, the two MPs delivered greeting speeches and engaged in a Q&A session to answer various questions.
