Dharamsala : As a part of Tibet Hope Centre’s annual program to promote awareness about the Tibetan culture and the Tibet issue, a group of University students from Denmark visited Tibetan Parliament in Exile on 23 Nov. The students met Deputy Speaker Ven. Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok.
Deputy Speaker gave a brief talk to the group in the assembly session hall. In the speech, Deputy speaker described the evolution of Tibetan democracy, past history of Tibet, situation inside Tibet and the efforts being made by CTA to resume dialogue with the Chinese government to resolve the issue of Tibet. He also introduced them to Parliamentarian support groups for Tibet and other Tibet support groups around the world. Deputy Speaker further briefed them regarding the recent meeting of CTA’s President and parliament members in Denmark.
During the brief speech, he also expressed gratitude to Tibet supporters from Denmark to organised campaigns during the 2008 Olympic in support of Tibet. He appealed them to continue their support for the cause of Tibet in the future.
