Dharamsala: Chaired by Speaker Pema Jungney, the final day of the General Session for the fiscal year 2019-20 of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile (TPiE) commenced with continuation of discussion on reports of Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR).

Followed by the presentation of précis 2018-19 annual report of the Department of Health (DoH) by Minister (Kalon) Choekyong Wangchuk.

Motion for debate on the aforesaid reports was tabled by Parliamentarian Tenpa Yarphel and supported by Parliamentarian Khenpo Sonam Tenphel.

The session continued with Cabinet’s (Kashag) clarification and general discussion on the aforesaid report, where Minister (Kalon) Choekyong Wangchuk provided requisite answers to the questions raised by the Parliamentarians.
In accordance with Article 120 and Article 121 of ‘Rules and regulation of Parliamentary Procedure and conduct of business of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile’, the official motion and resolution on appointment of the 10th Public Accounts Committee to review the audit reports for the fiscal year 2016-17 was presented by Parliamentarian Geshe Monlam Tharchin and supported by Parliamentarian Lobsang Dakpa.

The official motion and resolution to appoint the 10th Public Accounts Committee to review the audit reports for the fiscal year 2016-17 was passed unanimously in the house.

The session continued with the completion of all the pending businesses from the previous proceedings of the session.
Subsequently, Speaker Pema Jungney gave his conclusion speech that was followed by 8th Session adjournment announcement by the Speaker.
Speaker Pema Jungney in his conclusion address spoke about all the resolutions and legislative amendment adopted in this session, he also spoke about the election of Chief Justice Commissioner, Justice Commissioner, Public Service Commissioner, and Chief Election Commissioner.
Speaker also addressed on importance of reducing poverty in Tibetan communities and implementation of rules and regulation of ‘ Housing and Estate’ in various Tibetan communities.
The session adjourned sine die at 4:32 pm.
