Dharamsala: Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok along with members of the Standing Committee of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile viz. Geshe Monlam Tharchin, Ven. Tenpa Yarphel, and Tsering Lhamo met and congratulated Vishal Nehria on winning the Dharamsala assembly seat with majority votes today at 10:30 am at Sheela Chowk, Dharamsala.
Deputy Speaker explained and presented some of the publications of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile on Tibet issue. He urged the MLA’s support to Tibet issue and apprised problems faced by the Tibetans especially Tibetans residing in Dharamsala concerning the environment, street lights, housing, etc.
MLA Vishal Nehria informed that he had attended various conferences on Tibet issue along with Shri. Indresh Kumar, Chief Patron of Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch and Dr. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, because of which he is well informed of Tibet issue. He also said that he has been a constant supporter of Tibet and Tibetans for a long time.
He thanked Deputy Speaker and members of the Standing Committee for the publications which he said were very beneficial. He assured his and the government’s full support to the Tibetans and Tibet issue.
He also agreed to apprise the problems faced by Tibetans living in Dharamsala to the Chief Minister and at the same time assured his full effort for the same.
He further encouraged Tibetans to seek the governments’ assistance in future on any problem.
