Dharamsala : Deputy Speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Ven. Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok today on behalf of Tibetan Parliament congratulated 6 US Senates and 51 US House Tibet supporters on winning the 2018 United States Midterm Elections.
By extending his profound greetings, Deputy Speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile wrote, “The United States is among the pioneer countries in helping Tibetans to protect our unique culture and identity. US based Voice of America and Radio Free Asia have been among forerunners in news media especially for the just cause of people without voice. US Tibetan Resettlement Project, followed by The Tibetan Policy Act of 2002 and to the recent Reciprocal Access to Tibet Act in 2018 gives hope and resilience to the Tibetans and to all the struggling communities across the globe. Tibetan are eternally grateful for every resolutions passed and approved by the United State on Tibet issue.”
In the letter, Deputy Speaker recalled His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s visit to the United State for around 70 times and also the delegations exchanged between United State and Dharamsala for several times.
By addressing them as true supporters of Tibet, he mentioned that their support encourage Tibetans in and outside Tibet to carry forward the truthful struggle of Tibet.
