Dharamshala: Deputy speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Ven. Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok today congratulated Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and the members of the Liberal Democratic Party on their resounding victory in the early parliamentary election held in 22 October, 2017.

“Your victory with super majority indicates anticipations and faiths of the people of Japan under your leadership. We trust that you will continue to work for the well being of your people and the world as a whole,” he wrote in the congratulatory letter.

“As you are aware, Tibetans share a special bond of culture and religion with Japan. With this opportunity, I wish to express our sincere gratitude for the people and government of Japan for your pivotal support to the cause of Tibet and I look forward for your continued support regarding the deteriorating human rights situation inside Tibet so as to resolve the issue of Tibet soon,” he added.

“Since it’ll be your third term, I wish you and your administration success in your endeavors now and for the future,” he said.
