DHARAMSHALA: Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi, today spoke to a group of 13 foreign college students and three group leaders who were in a town for a week. They visited the Tibetan parliament Secretariat today and met with the Deputy Speaker.
During the meeting, the Deputy Speaker explained the procedures of the Tibetan Parliament and the roles performed by the parliamentary secretariat. He briefed the six World Parliamentarian Conventions on Tibet.
He also explained them about the past situation of Tibet before the invasion and occupation of Tibet and informed them about the recent wave of self-immolations happened in Tibet under the repressive policy of China.
He urged them to know the realities, facts through involvement and participation in various activities organized by Tibetan NGOs.
