Dharamsala : Chaired by Speaker Ven. Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, the fourth day of the fifth session of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile commenced with debate and discussion on the 2018-2019 proposed budget of Department of Information and International Relations.
Member of Budget Estimation Committee Parliamentarian Mrs. Tsering Lhamo read out the proposed recurring budget (rgyun gron sngon stsis) of the said department, which was approved unanimously after debate and discussion. Thereafter, the debate on the Special recurring budget (smigs bsal sngon stsis) of the same department ensued, which was approved on majority.
Minister of Department and International Relation, the incumbent Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay gave the requisite answer and clarification to the doubts and questions raised by the members of Parliament.
The debate on the said department’s budget regarding surkyol (zur bkol) is kept pending for the next sitting as no decision has been taken.
Following the final list of business for the day, Secretary General of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile read out the leave of absence of the member of parliament and the list of business for the next seven day’s session.
