Dharamsala: Chaired by the Speaker Pema Jungney, the second day of the 8th session of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile began with the continuation of the debate on the 2018-19 reports of Department of Religion and Culture. Kalon Karma Gelek Yutok (DoR&C) provided requisite answers and clarifications to the questions raised by the Members of Parliament.

Following the list of business for the day, Sonam Topgyal Khorlatsang, Kalon of the Department of Home, presented the précis 2018-19 annual report of its main ministry office as well as of all the offices under it. Parliamentarian Ven. Khenpo Sonam Tenphel presented the Standing Committee’s reviewed report on the detailed 2018-19 annual report of Department of Home.

Motion for debate on the aforesaid report was tabled by Parliamentarian Ven. Khenpo Kada Ngedhup Sonam and supported by Parliamentarian Ven. Tenpa Yarphel.

The session continued with Parliamentarians raising questions and Kalon Sonam Topgyal Khorlatsang providing the answers and clarifications, which shall be carried forward in the coming Monday’s list of business.
The Secretary General of Parliamentary Secretariat, Lakhang Tsering Topgyal read ‘leave of absence’ and the coming week’s list of business.
