Dharamsala : Speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Ven. Khenpo Sonam Tenphel today wrote to the Chief-Minister Elect of Meghalaya  congratulating him on the new position and the additional responsibilities.

He wrote, ‘We wish you all the very best as you assume this new responsibility and we are positive that you will continue to work for the progress and betterment of your people as always.’

Reminiscing the past support from the Chief Minister-Elect’s late father, Sh. Purno Agitok Sangma and his sister Smt. Agatha Sangma, the Speaker voiced his hope of the same support from him in the coming future.

Speaker also wrote a congratulatory letter to Shri Hishey Lachungpa on being re-elected as the member of Rajya Sabha from Sikkim Democratic Front. Congratulating him on his re-election, Speaker stated, ‘This is a splendid recognition or acknowledgement from state government for your constant efforts in fulfilling the aspiration of your people. It is my deepest conviction that you will continue to provide steadfast development for the people of Sikkim.’

Expressing his gratitude to both of them for always sparing time for the Tibetan Parliamentary delegation and for their continuous support towards the Tibetan struggle movement, Speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile wished them luck and success for their different endeavors.
