Tibetan Parliament Congratulates Hon’ble Anil Baijal, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi

Shri. Anil Baijal, newly appointed Lt Governor of Delhi.

DHARAMSHALA: Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile today wrote to Hon’ble Anil Baijal, congratulating him for becoming the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

The letter reads:

“On behalf of Tibetans inside and outside Tibet, the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile would like to extend our sincerest greetings and congratulations on your appointment as the 21st Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.”

“The government and the people of India has been infinitely grateful to the Tibetan people for the past six decades for providing refuge to the Tibetan people and graciously hosting His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Central Tibetan Administration. Tibetan settlements in various parts of India including Tibetans residing in Delhi are prominently benefited from rehabilitation policies formulated by the State and Central Government of India.”

“Several of the former Lieutenant Governors have met His Holiness the Dalai Lama on many occasions and expressed robust support for Tibet’s struggle and resolution of Tibet’s issue. We hope for your kind assistance and support during your term.”

Hon’ble Anil Baijal is a former Union Home Secretary. Hetook over office on 31 December 2016.
