
A public event entitled ‘Why Tibet Matters’ organized by the Tibetan parliamentary delegation on September 30 at the auditorium of National and Asian Resource Centre for Inclusion, ADAPT Mumbai, Bandra Reclamation.
Mumbai : In concurrence with the advocacy for Tibet and its issues by the Tibetan Parliament-in-exile, Tibetan Parliamentary delegation visiting Mumbai from September 29-October 3, comprising of Parliamentarians Ms. Youdon Aukatsang, Ms. Yeshi Dolma, Ven. Geshe Lharampa Gowo Lobsang Phende and Mr. Kunchok Yarphel, launched their campaign with a public event entitled ‘Why Tibet Matters‘ on September 30 at the auditorium of National and Asian Resource Centre for Inclusion, ADAPT Mumbai, Bandra Reclamation.
The event started with a presentation of a short documentary CTA: Leading Tibet Home. This was followed by a brief talk by parliamentarian Ven. Geshe Lharampa Lobsang Phende on Buddhism: An ancient Indian heritage which was translated in English by parliamentarian Ms. Yeshi Dolma.
Parliamentarian Ms. Youdon Aukatsang gave a talk on the impact of Tibetan environment degradation on India. The talk concluded with an interaction with the audience and vote of thanks given by parliamentarian Mr. Kunchok Yarphel.
